MITER Brands in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a lead maintenance technician with strong mechanical and electrical background for a manufacturing plant role. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, and perform preventive maintenance while supporting a safe, efficient operation.

The position offers hourly pay with overtime eligibility and a robust benefits package, including health, dental, and retirement options, plus a 3pm–11:30pm shift and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a manufacturing plant.
• Certification from college or technical school preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, electronic controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, cutting, welding, fabrication, and tooling.
• Read and follow blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform departmental activities per SOPs.
• Carry out simple preventive maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, routine part replacements).
• Fabricate/repair simple metal projects.
• Assist technicians to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems (PLC-controlled CNCs, welders, saws).
• Maintain data entry for equipment logs; follow safety policies and PPE usage.

Job Description We are currently seeking a skilled lead maintenance tech to join our team in Phoenix. A successful candidate will bring a strong mechanical and electrical background, excellent communication skills, eagerness to move into a higher-level position, and experience in a manufacturing plant. POSITION - Maintenance Tech - Manufacturing Plant

LOCATION - Phoenix, AZ

HOURLY RATE - $30-34 per hour - Plus $2.00 per hour for SD - Hourly rate is based on experience and mechanical/electrical testing.

SHIFT - Monday - Friday - 3pm to 11:30 pm

Job responsibilities include: Perform departmental activities per standard operating procedures. Perform simple preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and routine part replacements Fabricate / repair simple metal projects Assist Technicians to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including PLC controlled CNC’s, welders, and saws. Maintain data entry for required written and electronic equipment logs. Proper usage of personal protective equipment. Adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment.

Qualifications: 5 years or more in a manufacturing plant - work experience required Certification from college or technical school preferred Demonstrable experience may be accepted in place of credentials Basic knowledge of electrical, electronic controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, cutting, welding, fabrication, and tooling Must be able to read and follow blueprints and schematics Sense of urgency and self-motivation; ability to work independently Computer literacy with the ability to learn new computer software programs Excellent written and oral communication and customer service skills Attention to detail with strong organizational skills Exceptional customer service skills Ability to work in and promote a team environment.
