Otterbein SeniorLife in Ohio is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Tech to help keep our campus safe and welcoming for residents, families and staff.

You will perform general maintenance tasks across painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and related areas, assist with moves, and support the scheduled transportation program.

Shift is primarily Monday–Friday with rotating on-call; join a team dedicated to person-centered care and a culture of partnership and Caring at Otterbein.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing and carpentry; HVAC and vehicle maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe environment for residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Performs general maintenance tasks: painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
• Assists with moving residents’ furnishings as needed.
• Paints residents' living quarters as needed.
• Supports ongoing preventative maintenance and equipment care.
• Maintains maintenance records including safety and evacuation documentation.
• Assists with transportation tasks as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Communicates effectively with team and respects resident rights.

Otterbein has an employment opportunity for a Full-Time Maintenance Tech on our campus. They will provide a safe environment for residents, guests and employees. The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Tech is to assist in all phases of Maintenance and Transportation keeping tasks throughout the Otterbein Campus. This includes completing assigned jobs related to painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, moving, mechanical and other general repairs. This also includes assisting with scheduled transportation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a comfortable, safe and secure environment for the residents, their families, visitors and partners.
• Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks, including general repairs, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
• Assists with moving of residents’ furnishings as needed.
• Paintsresidents' living quarters as needed.
• Assists with theon-going preventative maintenance program of cleaning, repairing and operating equipment, which minimizes abnormal equipment failure.
• Assists with maintaining documentation of fire safety evacuation plan, fire drills, disaster plan, smoking policy, fire alarm testing,fire extinguisher maintenance and testing reports, generator testing logs, water temperatures, flame spread ratings of interior finishes, and other maintenance records.
• Assists with transportation tasks as needed.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.
• Interacts positively with residents, family members, guests and personnel
• Follows all established policies, procedures and regulations to assure that quality resident care is maintained
• Communicates, coordinates and cooperates with other team members
• Maintains resident rights and confidentiality

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Experience: General Maintenance - Electrical, Plumbing and Carpentry Experience, Mechanical Experience on H.V.A.C., Mowers and Vehicles.
