Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife in Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join a dedicated team. You will maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents, families, and staff, performing general maintenance tasks across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related areas, with on-call responsibilities every other weekend.

This role requires a High School Diploma, a valid Ohio driver's license, and HVAC and electrical experience. Healthcare facilities maintenance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid Ohio driver's license and be insurable.
• HVAC and electrical experience required; maintenance experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe, comfortable environment for residents, families, visitors and partners.
• Performs general maintenance tasks including repairs, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, etc.
• Assists with moving residents’ furnishings as needed.
• Paints residents' living quarters as needed.
• Supports ongoing preventative maintenance program for equipment and safety compliance.
• Maintains documentation of fire safety evacuation plans, drills, policies, and equipment testing logs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Are you looking to be part of a great Maintenance Team? Otterbein is looking to add a dedicated and motivated Maintenance Technician II to our team!

Shift: 1st shift, Mon-Fri with on-call responsibilities every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a comfortable, safe and secure environment for the residents, their families, visitors and partners.
• Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks, including general repairs, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
• Assists with moving of residents’ furnishings as needed.
• Paintsresidents' living quarters as needed.
• Assists with theon-going preventative maintenance program of cleaning, repairing and operating equipment, which minimizes abnormal equipment failure.
• Assists with maintaining documentation of fire safety evacuation plan, fire drills, disaster plan, smoking policy, fire alarm testing,fire extinguisher maintenance and testing reports, generator testing logs, water temperatures, flame spread ratings of interior finishes, and other maintenance records.
• Assists with transportation tasks as needed.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education : High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Licensure/Certification : Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license and be insurable
• Experience : HVAC and electrical required, maintenance experience in a maintenance department and prior experience in a health care facility preferred
