Job summary

Shamin Hotels, owner of Hilton Short Pump, seeks a Maintenance Technician to uphold guest rooms and common areas, ensuring equipment and facilities meet Hilton standards. The role involves repairs across trades, HVAC/plumbing support, and safety compliance.

You will work with a team, report to the General Manager, and help maintain inventory while providing excellent guest service. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Technical school training or prior hotel/facility maintenance experience is a huge plus.
• Skills: Strong basic reading, writing, and math skills, plus time-management abilities and extreme attention to detail.
• Customer service: A welcoming, professional demeanor when interacting with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Guest Room & Facility Upkeep: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair guest room equipment, furniture, fixtures, and common areas to maintain Hilton standards.
• General Trades & Repairs: Handle routine building maintenance, including drywall, painting, wallpaper, flooring/carpet touch-ups, and door/window fixes.
• Systems Maintenance: Assist with plumbing repairs, maintain HVAC climate control equipment, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, chemical safety standards, and lockout/tagout procedures; keep SDS files up to date.
• Team Collaboration: Work with maintenance staff and report major issues to General Manager; help keep inventory stocked.

What You’ll Do

• Guest Room & Facility Upkeep: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair guest room equipment, furniture, fixtures, and common areas to maintain our high Hilton standards.
• General Trades & Repairs: Handle routine building maintenance, including structural repairs, drywall, painting, wallpaper, flooring/carpet touch-ups, and door/window fixes.
• Systems Maintenance: Assist with plumbing repairs to prevent water damage, maintain HVAC climate control equipment, and occasionally handle basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, chemical safety standards, and lockout/tagout procedures. Keep accurate maintenance records and ensure SDS files are up to date.
• Team Collaboration: Work alongside and help train fellow maintenance staff, partnering with the General Manager to report major issues and keep inventory well-stocked.
