Job summary

Living Branches at Dock Woods in Pennsylvania is seeking a Maintenance Tech to keep our building and property safe, functional, and welcoming for residents and staff. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and grounds tasks, while documenting work and keeping systems in top condition.

This on-site role includes on-call evenings, weekends, holidays, and weather contingencies, with emphasis on life-safety drills, fire

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry or related experience preferred.
• Willingness to participate in on-call schedule and on-site duties.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Applies knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and groundskeeping to ensure safety and comfort.
• On-call schedule; works evenings, weekends, holidays and during inclement weather as needed.
• Responds to building and life-safety emergencies; participates in fire drills and alarm tests.
• Operates and tests emergency generator and fire safety systems.
• Documents all equipment maintenance and repairs; maintains logs and reports.
• Maintains facility grounds including snow removal and landscaping.

The Maintenance Tech ensures the safety and functionality of our building and property. This is a perfect job for someone who doesn't want to be confined to an office all day and who enjoys building relationships with the residents they serve!

Maintenance Tech Overview:

• Handles preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair work
• Utilizes a general knowledge of commercial and/or residential carpentry, electrical, plumbing, light construction, painting, and grounds keeping to ensure the comfort and safety of the residents, visitors, and staff through proper repair and maintenance of the building facilities, equipment and vehicles
• Must be able to participate in on call schedule and work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather as needed
• Responds to all building and life safety emergencies. Participates in fire drills and alarm tests as required.
• Monitors the fire and safety integrity of the facility by operating and testing the emergency generator and fire safety systems.
• Documents all equipment maintenance and repairs. Maintains work order records, work logs and reports.
• Maintains the facility grounds by performing snow removal and landscaping duties as required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-4 years of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carp training or related experience preferred
• Knowledge of machines and tools including, but not limited to, the design, use, repair process, and maintenance
• Knowledge of general carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and small machines
