Job summary

Kreider Farms, a family-owned dairy and egg producer in Lancaster County, is hiring Maintenance Technicians for Lebanon (Mt. Pleasant) and Middletown.

The role focuses on installing and maintaining electrical and mechanical components in Egg Processing/Packaging plants, with a 40+ hour week across 4 ten-hour days and rotating every third weekend. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, and ability to read schematics and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in electrical or mechanical systems.
• 3 years of Industrial Maintenance experience including mechanical/electrical, robotics, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic work.
• Strong ability to read/interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure electrical and mechanical components of industrial machinery, including motors, pumps, conveyors, and control systems.
• Maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance, including lubrication, adjustments, and parts replacement.
• Troubleshoot/Diagnose/Repair electrical and mechanical issues.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to comply with company policies and industry regulations.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments to minimize downtime.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in electrical or mechanical systems
• 3 years of Industrial Maintenance experience including areas of mechanical/electrical, general maintenance, robotics, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic work
• Ability to read/interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Electrical Technician, Mechanical Technician, etc.) are a plus
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to effectively diagnose and resolve issues
• Ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for long periods, and work in various environments (e.g., confined spaces, heights)
