Job summary

Hydro Extrusions North America is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform electrical troubleshooting, interpret diagrams, and repair hydraulic systems. You will read PLC programs, identify energy hazards, and inspect mechanical equipment to locate faults.

The role requires reading schematics and demonstrating ongoing reliability improvements across equipment and processes. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with at least two years in a similar role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a similar position.
• Must understand and deliver basic commands in English.
• Must be able to use and maintain all basic tools and measuring equipment pertinent to a maintenance position.
• Must be able to read and interpret schematics.
• Provides routine maintenance on hydraulic systems such as Oil Gear, Rex Roth, Racine, Vickers, etc.
• Proficiency in complex combustion/gas train repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical troubleshooting and interprets electrical diagrams and symbols.
• Hydraulic system knowledge used to troubleshoot and repair.
• Reads and interprets PLC programs; troubleshoots PLC hardware and software.
• Identifies stored energy and performs Lockout/Tag-out procedures according to company policy.
• Observes mechanical devices such as presses and draw benches in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Participates and is fully engaged in continuous reliability improvement of all equipment and processes.

Shifts Available:

12-hour shift. Must be able to work BOTH day and night shift. 6AM to 6PM or 6PM to 6AM
