Job summary

Cleary University is seeking a Facilities Custodian to maintain university spaces including student housing, classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and banquet facilities. The role covers custodial tasks, minor repairs, and assisting with athletic and stadium grounds as needed.

Duties include minor repairs to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall, and HVAC; ensure clean buildings; provide campus security as needed; respond to requests from staff, students and customers; relocate furniture

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Willing to work weekends, holidays and off-hour shifts.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical ability for an active position.

SUMMARY

Maintain University facilities including but not limited to student housing and common areas, classrooms, offices, bathrooms and banquet facilities. Perform custodial tasks and minor maintenance and building repairs. Assistance with athletic and stadium grounds when necessary. Waste removal, recycling and maintenance facilities on campus.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform minor repairs to include but not limited to building electrical, plumbing, general carpentry, paint, dry wall, and heating and cooling


• Perform custodial functions as necessary to maintain clean buildings


• Provide campus security as needed, respond to alarm alerts


• Respond to requests and support University staff/students/customers in a timely manner


• Relocate furniture, equipment and supplies in and around campus
