Job summary

Continental Management is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to support a Clinton Township apartment community. Responsibilities include electrical repairs on appliances and fixtures, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and custodial tasks in common areas.

You may assist with grounds work and move-in/move-out inspections, and participate in standby emergency coverage as needed. The role requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a background check.

Qualifications

• Experience performing electrical repairs, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Background check and EEO compliance.
• Apartment maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general electrical repairs on appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, and circuits.
• Perform general plumbing tasks and clear stoppages; replace fittings.
• Paint interior and exterior areas as required.
• Carpentry tasks: doors, shelves, windows; repairs as needed.
• Assist in custodial work in common areas and sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean windows.
• Assist with grounds maintenance when necessary.

A full-time maintenance technician position is available at an apartment community in Clinton Township, MI.The Maintenance Technician is directly responsible for:Performing general electrical repairs on items such as appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits, etc.Perform general plumbing work, such as clearing stoppages, replacing fittings, etc. Replace broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, garbage disposals, fixtures, appliances, locks, etc.Paint - interior and exterior areas, as required.Perform carpentry work, such as fitting doors, freeing windows, replacing and building shelves, etc.Assist in custodial work, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning windows, in common areas, etc.Assist with grounds work when necessary.Participate in a standby emergency schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage.Assist in stock control and utilization of maintenance materials.Assist in completion of work order requests and adhere to maintenance priorities.Assist in refurbishing vacant apartments.Periodically inspect all units, buildings and common areas, performing repairs and janitorial assistance as needed.Assist in apartment move-in and move-out inspections as directed.Valid Driver's License.Continental Management offers a competitive wage and benefit package: medical, dental, vision plan, 401K, vacation time, and paid medical leave.
