Job summary

Continental Management in Clinton Township, MI is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for an apartment community. The role involves electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, custodial, and grounds duties, plus occasional emergency standby coverage.

Qualifications

• Maintenance knowledge including plumbing, electrical, appliances, and carpentry.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general electrical repairs on items such as appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits, etc.
• Perform general plumbing work, such as clearing stoppages, replacing fittings, etc. Replace broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, garbage disposals, fixtures, appliances, locks, etc.
• Paint - interior and exterior areas, as required.
• Perform carpentry work, such as fitting doors, freeing windows, replacing and building shelves, etc.
• Assist in custodial work, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning windows, in common areas, etc.
• Assist with grounds work when necessary.
• Participate in a standby emergency schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage.
• Assist in stock control and utilization of maintenance materials.
• Assist in completion of work order requests and adhere to maintenance priorities.
• Assist in refurbishing vacant apartments.
• Periodically inspect all units, buildings and common areas, performing repairs and janitorial assistance as needed.
• Assist in apartment move-in and move-out inspections as directed.
