Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, repairs, painting, grounds upkeep, room turnover, and floor cleaning. Applicants must provide their own tools and be able to work independently.

Qualifications

• Must be hard-working and self-motivated with verifiable work history.
• Two-year technical degree or equivalent in building maintenance or related field preferred.
• Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks; prior senior housing experience preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment.
• Complete general repairs as needed to maintain building integrity.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces and maintain appearance.
• Mow, trim, weed, water, shovel snow; keep grounds tidy.
• Tend to parking areas and yard for a neat, debris-free look.
• Prepare resident rooms upon vacancy.
• Clean carpets and floors as part of routine duties.
• Employee must supply and maintain their own tools for duties.

Carefree Living by Oxford Living in Aurora is looking for a Part time Maintenance Assistant to join our growing and established Assisted Living communities. Schedule: Position is Part-time

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preventative maintenance
• General repairs
• Painting and maintaining interior and exterior of the building
• Mowing, trimming, weeding, watering, shoveling, snow removal etc.
• Attend to parking area and yard-property for orderly appearance and clean of debris
• Prepare resident rooms upon vacancy
• Perform duties of carpet and floor cleaning
• This position requires the employee to supply and maintain their own tools necessary to perform assigned maintenance duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates must be hard working and self-motivated. Proven work history available to verify mechanical skill level is required.
• Two-year technical degree or equivalent in building maintenance or related field is preferred.
• Position requires the ability to accurately and independently direct and follow through on work activities.
• Candidates must be willing to interact with others - experience in the senior housing industry preferred, not required.
• Candidates will be subject to a criminal background study and must be able to meet the mental and physical requirements of the position.
