Carefree Living by Oxford Living in McGregor, MN is seeking a Part-time Maintenance Assistant to support our assisted living communities. You will handle preventative maintenance, general repairs, and upkeep of interior and exterior spaces while collaborating with staff to ensure resident comfort.

The role requires self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision; experience in building maintenance or related field is preferred. A criminal background check is required.

Qualifications

• Hardworking and self-motivated with verifiable mechanical skills.
• Two-year technical degree or equivalent in building maintenance or related field.
• Ability to direct and follow through on work activities.
• Willing to interact with others; experience in the senior housing industry preferred, not required.
• Criminal background check and ability to meet mental and physical requirements.

Schedule: Position is Part-time Projected 8 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preventative maintenance
• General repairs
• Painting and maintaining interior and exterior of the building
• Mowing, trimming, weeding, watering, shoveling, snow removal etc.
• Attend to parking area and yard-property for orderly appearance and clean of debris
• Prepare resident rooms upon vacancy

QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidates must be hard working and self-motivated. Proven work history available to verify mechanical skill level is required.
• Two-year technical degree or equivalent in building maintenance or related field is preferred.
• Position requires the ability to accurately and independently direct and follow through on work activities.
• Candidates must be willing to interact with others - experience in the senior housing industry preferred, not required.
• Candidates will be subject to a criminal background study and must be able to meet the mental and physical requirements of the position.
