Carefree Living in McGregor is seeking a Part-time Maintenance Assistant to support our Assisted Living communities. This role offers rewarding work in a team environment with professional development opportunities within a dependable healthcare company.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, general repairs, painting, landscaping, and preparing rooms for vacancy. You must supply and maintain your own tools; about 8 hours per week with competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent in building maintenance.
• Able to work independently and follow through on tasks.
• Willing to interact with others; senior housing experience preferred but not required.
• Background check required; able to meet mental and physical requirements.

Carefree Living by Oxford Living in McGregor is looking for a Part time Maintenance Assistant to join our growing and established Assisted Living communities. Schedule: Position is Part-time Projected 8 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preventative maintenance
• General repairs
• Painting and maintaining interior and exterior of the building
• Mowing, trimming, weeding, watering, shoveling, snow removal etc.
• Attend to parking area and yard-property for orderly appearance and clean of debris
• Prepare resident rooms upon vacancy
• Perform duties of carpet and floor cleaning
• This position requires the employee to supply and maintain their own tools necessary to perform assigned maintenance duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidates must be hard working and self-motivated. Proven work history available to verify mechanical skill level is required.
• Two-year technical degree or equivalent in building maintenance or related field is preferred.
• Position requires the ability to accurately and independently direct and follow through on work activities.
• Candidates must be willing to interact with others - experience in the senior housing industry preferred, not required.
• Candidates will be subject to a criminal background study and must be able to meet the mental and physical requirements of the position.
