Qualifications

Job description

Job Summary: Accountable for organizing and directing maintenance associates in the repair, rebuild, relocation, modification, fabrication, and preventative maintenance of all production machines in compliance with the quality policy.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate work schedules in the maintenance area to meet required deadlines.
  2. Responsible for departmental training.
  3. Track and report monthly data.
  4. Establish and maintain operator instructions.
  5. Maintain documentation on timesheets, attendance, corrective actions, etc.
  6. Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
  7. Maintain 5S standards.
  8. Plan and schedule projects with contractors and outside vendors.
  9. Implement Kaizens when applicable.
  10. Order and research spare parts for equipment.
  11. Fabricate, build, rebuild, and relocate parts or equipment as necessary.
  12. Investigate problems/processes; notify affected departments and implement appropriate actions.
  13. Understand and administer policies and procedures fairly and consistently.

Minor Responsibilities:

  1. Communicate effectively with internal associates/departments and external resources.
  2. Participate in company activities such as IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001, Employee Involvement, etc.
  3. Supervise departmental associates.
  4. Investigate problems/processes and implement countermeasures.
  5. May require travel.

Required Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or GED (must meet NC state or federal educational requirements).
  2. Experience in industrial maintenance; supervisory experience preferred, troubleshooting skills essential.
  3. 2-Year Technical Degree and/or 5-7 years’ maintenance experience or related training in manufacturing.

Key Competencies:

  1. Effective communication of maintenance processes/problems.
  2. Proficient electrical (5V DC to 480V AC) and mechanical skills.
  3. Ability to fabricate and modify parts.
  4. Proficient in PLC (preferably Omron).
  5. Understanding of Robotics and Servos.
  6. Ability to read and understand operator instructions.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Constant standing and moving for 8-12 hours daily.
  2. Lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
  3. Bend, stoop, squat, kneel.
  4. Apply up to 66 lbs. push/pull force unassisted.
  5. Reach overhead.
  6. Work in confined spaces and heights.
  7. Work with high voltage and hazardous chemicals.

Annual Salary: $68,000 - $85,000.

Shift Details:

  • Hours: 11:00PM - 7:00AM, Monday-Friday.
  • Qualifies for Straight Time and Shift Premium.
