Job Summary:
Accountable for organizing and directing maintenance associates in the repair, rebuild, relocation, modification, fabrication, and preventative maintenance of all production machines in compliance with the quality policy.
Major Responsibilities:
- Coordinate work schedules in the maintenance area to meet required deadlines.
- Responsible for departmental training.
- Responsible for tracking and reporting monthly data.
- Establish and maintain operator instructions.
- Maintain subordinates' documentation on timesheets, attendance, corrective action, etc.
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Maintain 5’s standards.
- Plan and schedule projects with contractors and outside vendors.
- Implement Kaizens when applicable.
- Order and research spare parts for equipment.
- Fabricate, build, rebuild, and/or relocate parts or equipment as necessary.
- Investigate problems/processes; notify affected departments and implement appropriate action as needed.
- Know and understand policies and procedures and be able to administer them fairly and consistently.
Minor Responsibilities:
- Requires effective communication and involvement with all internal associates/departments and related outside resources.
- Requires teamwork, promotion, and participation in company activities such as IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001, Employee Involvement, etc.
- Directly supervises departmental associates.
- Responsible for investigation of problems/processes in the specific area and implementing recommended countermeasures.
- May require some travel.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (must fulfill NC state or federal educational requirements).
- Previous manufacturing experience in industrial maintenance; supervisory experience preferred, strong aptitude for troubleshooting.
- Must have a 2-Year Technical Degree and/or 5-7 years’ maintenance experience and/or previous experience in a manufacturing environment with related specialized training.
Key Competencies:
- Must be able to effectively communicate maintenance processes/problems.
- Must have proficient electrical (5 volt dc to 480 volt ac) and mechanical skills.
- Must be able to fabricate and modify parts as necessary.
- Must be proficient in PLC (prefer Omron).
- Must have a proficient understanding of Robotics and Servos.
- Must be able to read and demonstrate an understanding of the operator instructions.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires constant standing and moving 8-12 hours per day.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and kneel.
- Must be able to apply up to 66 lbs. push/pull force unassisted.
- Must be able to reach overhead.
- May involve working in confined spaces and heights.
- Requires working with high voltage.
- May involve working with hazardous chemicals.

Annual Salary: $68,000-$85,000
Shift Details:
- Hours are 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Monday-Friday.
- Qualifies for Straight Time and Shift Premium.
