Job summary

U.S. Army MWR at Fort Sill is seeking a working leader to supervise 3+ crafts and labor staff, ensure work follows supervisor instructions, and coordinate tasks with teammates on facility projects.

The role involves measuring, cutting, constructing or repairing wood and wood substitutes to exact specs, and may require operating government vehicles up to a 5-ton truck to move furniture.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English at a level to assure the duties described can be accomplished in a safe and satisfactory manner.
• Demonstrated skills in successfully operating standard tools.
• Experience in accomplishing the types of duties described in this job.

Responsibilities

• Serves as working leader of 3 or more employees in accomplishing trades and labor work.
• Checks work in progress and when finished for compliance with supervisor's instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines.
• Works with others, setting the pace and performing non-supervisory work of the same kind and level as the group led.
• Measures, cuts, constructs and repairs wood, composite materials, and wood substitutes to produce a serviceable product.
• May be required to drive vehicles up to and including a 5-ton truck to move furniture and materials.
