Job summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a Maintenance Team Manager to lead our Painesville, Ohio Films Facility. You will plan and direct maintenance activities, directing technicians and staff with a focus on safety, reliability, maintenance planning, and continuous improvement.

Lead a high-performing team, drive TPM/5S, manage maintenance schedules and CMMS, and collaborate with suppliers to optimize costs and equipment longevity. This on-site role emphasizes strong leadership and technical expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field (e.g., Engineering).
• 6+ years of operational experience required, with 3–5 years in plant maintenance or engineering leadership.
• Deep technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including PLCs, motor controls, and automation.
• Proven leadership competencies to display agility, collaboration, and accountability; conflict resolution skills.
• Familiarity with Lean principles (ELS), OSHA PSM, ISO 9000, and proficiency in MS Office, Google Platform, CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct maintenance team activities to resolve safety, quality, and production issues.
• Lead safety initiatives: monthly meetings, daily huddles, and ensure compliance with Mechanical Integrity Program (OSHA PSM).
• Develop high-performing, diverse team through coaching, training, and feedback via the Global Performance Management System.
• Drive TPM, 5S, and preventive maintenance; manage CMMS work orders and spare parts inventory to minimize costs.
• Forge relationships with maintenance peers and external suppliers to optimize service contracts and equipment longevity.
• Support capital projects and facility modifications; provide guidance on process stability and waste reduction.
