Job summary

CWS Apartment Homes is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Director in Houston to lead the maintenance team and ensure timely service for residents. You will balance hands-on tasks with leadership to uphold high standards across properties.

The role requires experience in apartment maintenance, HVAC certs and a valid driver’s license, with strong communication to residents and vendors. On-site work with benefits and a focus on safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Yardi software experience preferred.
• EPA HVAC I & II, CPO and local certifications required.
• 1–2 years of apartment maintenance or related trades experience.
• Own a basic set of hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license and current insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leading maintenance team.
• Prepare make-ready apartments.
• Complete service requests.
• Maintain inventory and shop organization.
• Perform common area maintenance.
• Participate in preventative maintenance program.
• Participate in resident satisfaction programs.
• Communicate with customers, residents, investors, vendors, leadership, and CWS team.
• Participate in Risk Management & Safety Programs.
