Job summary

PPC-Flex in Rome, GA is seeking a Maintenance Lead who can set the example for safety, urgency, and teamwork on a 12-hour day/night rotation. You will coach technicians, schedule preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, and respond rapidly to breakdowns to minimize downtime.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to drive reliability improvements while maintaining accurate records and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred.
• 3–7 years of maintenance experience including supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to coach technicians.
• Proficiency with CMMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance technicians on assigned shifts.
• Schedule and assign preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Inspect equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety policies, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inventory of spare parts.
• Coordinate with production and other departments to schedule repairs.
• Train and mentor maintenance team members.
• Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
