Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Maintenance Leader to ensure timely completion of PMs and work orders, coach team members, and uphold safety, quality, and efficiency. The role reports to Maintenance Manager and Shift Supervisors through daily pass downs.

Responsibilities include training, inspections, and ensuring SOPs are followed; the candidate will coordinate with supervisors on installations and upgrades, while maintaining product safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership abilities.
• Strong mechanical background and ability to use hand tools.
• Familiar with CMMS and basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, email).
• Willingness to work overtime as required.
• Able to operate safely and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work orders are completed on time and monitor workload.
• Train shift team on PM program and SOPs.
• Communicate expectations regarding teamwork and performance.
• Verify Pre-Operational status of equipment.
• Maintain Lock Out Tag Out program.
• Plan installations, rebuilds, upgrades with supervisors.
• Ensure GMP, HACCP, PSM, and safety compliance.
• Audit and improve departmental procedures.
• Coordinate with other department leaders.
• Learn equipment and utility systems throughout facility.
• Monitor ammonia refrigeration per process safety management.
• Complete and maintain required reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
