Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking a Team Leader Maintenance for the 6:00am to 6:00pm B Shift in Bolingbrook, IL. You will lead a maintenance team responsible for daily tasks, preventive maintenance, and project work for production, building, and grounds.

Qualified candidates will have 3-5 years in industrial maintenance, a high school diploma, and strong problem-solving and leadership abilities. Experience with CMMS and reading schematics is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in an industrial maintenance environment with mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and schematics.
• Intermediate computer skills in MS Word and Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to lead and coordinate activities within a team with diverse tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership to the assigned team and communicate daily goals and performance.
• Assist with supervisory tasks and employee performance evaluations with the area supervisor.
• Perform or assign preventive maintenance and manage work order functions as directed.
• Conduct safety sweeps and training (including TWI) as required.
• Ensure safety of team members and those affected by maintenance activities.
• Assist in locating equipment parts and work with maintenance clerk to order as needed.
• Manage spare parts cage and ensure critical parts are on-hand.
• Lead or participate in maintenance projects and delegate daily work schedules for maximum effectiveness.
