Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procedures to maintain adequate shop supply, tooling, and recurring parts inventory levels, including supplies for road mechanics.
- Identify and optimize common inventory items and dispose of obsolete inventory as directed.
- Track parts orders and maintain an up-to-date back-ordered parts list.
- Ensure regular and timely inventory counts and conduct comprehensive audits, providing reports to management.
- Monitor inventory and order fuel, DEF, oils as needed, and oversee bulk ordering and safe storage of chemicals.
- Maintain knowledge of project schedules to ensure proper levels of project fuel and DEF storage tanks.
- Continuously evaluate and improve ordering, receiving, and inventory processes.
- Train employees in cycle counting and inventory control, and instruct on parts pickup, return, and storage procedures.
- Organize return areas and ensure timely returns.
- Utilize the Inventory Module in QTC for receiving parts, assigning locations, and training mechanics on workorder pulls.
- Maintain PRS consumable inventory and coordinate delivery to drillers.
- Schedule and coordinate pickup of roll-off dumpsters for the shop.
- Warranty Management: File warranty claims, coordinate inspections, keep service letter items up-to-date, and ensure warranty details are current in Viewpoint and QTC.
- Rental Management: Arrange equipment rentals, monitor rental fleet levels, and communicate with relevant stakeholders. Use Blackbook and Rate templates to set up rental equipment in Viewpoint and monitor rental portals.
- Research and summarize equipment requests, obtaining quotes and OEM documentation for management decisions.
- Perform miscellaneous fleet management tasks as assigned and maintain all safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Knowledge of Tenna and Viewpoint software.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Teamwork skills and flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Valid driver’s license with a compliant driving record.
Work environment includes both office and outdoor conditions. Must be capable of physical activities such as lifting, walking on uneven surfaces, and manual manipulation.
