A leading medical center seeks a Lab Support Coordinator for its Cancer Center. This full-time role involves greeting patients, performing phlebotomy procedures, and ensuring efficient site operations. The coordinator will also manage supplies and staff, providing essential support in a collaborative environment.
Milford Regional Medical Center (Main Campus) · Phlebotomy
Full-time, Days, 40 hours. 8a-4:30p Monday-Friday
Statement of Purpose:
Cordially greets and receives patients, ascertains their needs, and appropriately directs patients. Has command of computer skills, uses the telephone courteously, and performs clerical duties. Performs phlebotomy procedures, including bleeding, blood cultures, and EKG procedures. Manages the location by ensuring supplies are ordered, staffing is optimal, and issues are addressed. Keeps managers/supervisors informed of site issues or concerns. Works closely with management to ensure efficient site operation.
Qualifications:
1. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Phlebotomy training required. 1 year of phlebotomy or management experience preferred.
2. Certification / License: Valid Driver's license. ASCP certification or eligibility.
3. Experience: Computer/Keyboard experience helpful. Phlebotomy experience required. Ability to communicate fluently in English.
MRMC Differentials:
Hospital differentials are: $3.50 hourly for evenings, $5.00 hourly for nights, and $2.75 hourly for weekends. All differentials are paid based on hospital policy.
