Job Description

Peabody Properties seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor (Service Manager) to join its property management team at apartment communities in New Bedford, MA.

The Supervisor is responsible for evaluating a broad range of maintenance needs to ensure the efficient operation of the community. The ideal candidate will be honest, self-directed, organized, able to multi-task, and work well with co-workers and residents.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Electrical
• Plumbing
• HVAC
• Appliance Repair
• Locks & Keys
• Basic Carpentry
• Painting and Drywall Repair
• Janitorial, Grounds, and Snow Removal

Requirements:

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter
• Excellent customer service skills
• Prior experience in facilities maintenance
• On-call availability for emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays
• Skilled in routine apartment maintenance and administrative tasks related to vendors/contractors
• Timely response and resolution of maintenance issues
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license
• Minimum of 5 years of related maintenance experience, including supervisory roles and overseeing capital projects
