Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead day-to-day maintenance, ensuring safe, reliable plant operations and strong technician leadership. You will drive schedule adherence, mentor the maintenance team, and collaborate with Planning and Reliability to improve performance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or substantial supervisory experience in industrial maintenance, plus hands-on knowledge of CMMS, PLCs, and predictive maintenance tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or substantial supervisory experience in industrial maintenance.
• Proven success stabilizing highly reactive maintenance environments.
• Strong leadership skills to coach and develop technicians.
• Experience working in a CMMS-driven maintenance organization.
• Technical knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, motor controls, and automated equipment.
• Familiarity with predictive/condition-based maintenance tools.
• Knowledge of OSHA and regulatory requirements.
• Food/manufactured goods experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety standards are enforced (LOTO, confined space, hot work, permit-to-work).
• Lead daily maintenance execution meetings and shift handovers.
• Manage scheduled maintenance with target >90% compliance.
• Coordinate with Planning, Reliability and Operations to optimize maintenance.
• Mentor and develop technicians and apprentices.
• Provide high-quality execution feedback for RCFA and PM optimization.
