Job summary

Your Talent Team in the Indianapolis area is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance, develop technicians, and improve equipment reliability. You will balance urgent repairs with planned work and foster a proactive maintenance culture to support safe, efficient production.

The role requires overseeing technicians, coordinating with production and quality teams, and managing contractors while ensuring compliance with site safety.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of maintenance experience.
• Education beyond high school through college or technical school.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, control networks, electrical systems, hydraulics, and production equipment.
• Ability to guide technicians, communicate priorities, and coordinate contractors and schedules.
• Strong problem-solving, planning, and coaching skills.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance technicians, assign work orders, and set safety, quality, and performance expectations.
• Coordinate breakdown response and preventive maintenance with scheduled repairs.
• Plan upcoming work around technician availability and production schedules.
• Use root cause analysis to reduce recurring failures and downtime.
• Coach and develop technicians through feedback and safety training.
• Track performance and completion of work orders to identify improvements.
• Support spare parts availability and maintenance storeroom practices.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Safety teams for dependable operations.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors while managing safety compliance.
• Manage small maintenance and capital projects including scheduling and cost tracking.
• Maintain maintenance records and support quality management standards.
