Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) in Colorado is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team, oversee daily tasks, and ensure building and grounds are well cared for on-site.

Candidates should have HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge, strong supervisory skills, and hands-on ability with tools. Responsibilities include preparing vacant units, scheduling tasks, training staff, enforcing safety, coordinating vendor work, and maintaining inventory.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and making recommendations for maintenance/housekeeping/custodial/grounds personnel with the manager.
• Assist in training of service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Take the initiative to improve processes and maintenance methods.
• Maintain MSDS sheets and replacement logs.
• Hold the maintenance team accountable to ensure they meet expectations including attendance.
• Schedule and assist in supervision and selection of all vendor work.
• Inventory, ordering, and delivery of supplies for service, custodial, and grounds departments under manager guidance.
• Ensure OSHA standards and safety policies are followed.
