Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance team and ensure upkeep of the property, units, and grounds.

Ideal candidates bring knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, hands-on maintenance skills, and prior supervisory experience. The role includes coordinating vendors, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring timely repairs.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge required.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Experience operating various hand and power tools.
• Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and making recommendations for service personnel in conjunction with the manager.
• Assist in training of service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds staff.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure OSHA standards and company safety policies are followed.
• Handle lock-outs due to evictions and 24-hour response to service requests.
• Schedule and supervise vendor work and inventory supplies.
