Job description

The Maintenance Supervisor - Press is responsible for addressing throughput, run-to-run, and downtime issues related to equipment in a production environment. The role involves coordinating activities according to lean manufacturing standards, particularly autonomous and professional maintenance activities, to improve overall equipment effectiveness through systematic planning and execution of maintenance tasks using the TMS system.

Job duties may include but are not limited to:

  1. Supervising maintenance staff on repair of electrical and mechanical stamping equipment
  2. Troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLCs
  3. Diagnosing and resolving issues with DC motors, drives, and variable frequency drives
  4. Diagnosing and resolving hydraulic and pneumatic equipment issues
  5. Troubleshooting press cushion systems
  6. Employing ladder logic and print reading skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work any shift and overtime as required; excellent organization, written, and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees within all areas of the plant, from hourly employees to senior leadership
  • Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving experience
  • Goal-oriented self-starter with the ability to lead teams
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop skilled trade employees
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
