Job Description

Summary

Plan, organize, manage, and schedule all facilities and personnel at the Dunkirk Plant on assigned shifts, focusing on maintenance and proper operation of equipment.

Essential Functions

Responsible for organizing, planning, supervising, and scheduling all facilities during the shift, as well as motivating and controlling employees. Must optimize the use of materials, machinery, and manpower in a variable environment.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage plant maintenance to ensure proper equipment operation, especially the Dunkirk Plant press.
  • Train operators and shift foremen on equipment controls to reduce downtime, prevent damage, lower maintenance costs, and ensure quality.
  • Manage production facilities to meet specifications, costs, and yields aligned with business and customer needs.
  • Schedule production stages to meet delivery and quality standards.
  • Determine manpower requirements.
  • Lead and direct the workforce to ensure product accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Plan tooling and inventory needs for production.
  • Troubleshoot technical and administrative plant issues.
  • Perform administrative duties as needed.
  • Foster a quality culture emphasizing doing jobs right the first time, utilizing modern statistical quality control methods.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment compliant with health and safety standards.

Education and Experience

Two-year degree in technical/industrial maintenance or equivalent experience. 3-5 years in maintenance planning, reliability-centered maintenance, CMMS, Microsoft Office, hydraulics, electrical troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. Specific coursework in maintenance planning, reliability-centered maintenance, or CMMS certification is desirable.

Physical Dimensions

Salary range: $81,900 to $122,800 USD, with eligibility for bonuses, paid time off, holidays, insurance, and 401(k).
