Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Industry knowledge and experience in all areas related to the above responsibilities.
• Experience in planning maintenance operations.
• Solid understanding of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc.
• Facilities maintenance skills, building automation systems, electrical, HVAC, utilities, plumbing, hydraulics, building and grounds knowledge and ability to apply to the facility maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
• Computer/system knowledge (Windows and Web-based programs).
• Understand GMP and Lean methodology.
• Understand Industrial Plant Safety and Environmental requirements
• English proficiency to include reading, writing and following directions
• Strong mathematical skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment
• Manage and direct a team of mechanics and maintenance associates
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
• Reporting and Budgeting
• May need to work flexible shifts to include nights or weekends based on needs of the business.
• Performs duties of general help and job assignments as required.
• Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
• Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
• Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality.
• Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
• Allocate workload and supervise upkeep staff (facilities associates, sanitation, etc.)
• Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
• Control the budget and monitor expenses for maintenance department.
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
• Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
• Ensure compliance of health and safety policies.
• Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
• Reviews job orders to determine work priorities.
• Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
• Directs training of associates to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
