Job summary

Flex-N-Gate Detroit is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate installation, maintenance and repairs of facility machinery and equipment. You will lead hourly maintenance staff, ensure safety compliance, and manage preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, problem solving and a focus on cost-effective, quality maintenance. On-call 24/7 is possible, with on-site responsibilities at the Detroit facility.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated supervisory experience in maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance.
• Ability to read equipment manuals and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Assess and prioritize work requests and secure required materials.
• Follow up on work orders to meet specs, quality, and timelines.
• Inspect facility areas to ensure housekeeping and safety provisions are met.
• Coordinate regular preventive maintenance and respond to outages.
• Supervise external contractors for projects when needed.
• Prepare overtime sheets and manage department schedule.
