Silgan Containers in Edison, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a multi-disciplinary team of technicians. You will oversee preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive uptime in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in supervisory maintenance, strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, and experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, lean tools, and maintenance software. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical trade or equivalent.
• 3+ years of maintenance supervision in a high-speed plant.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Experience with lean tools (5S) and continuous improvement.
• Proficient in reading electrical blueprints and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of mechanics, electricians, machinists, millwrights, and operators.
• Schedule maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize throughput.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and perform timely repairs.
• Document work, track downtime and costs, and report performance.
• Collaborate on process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Apply SPC concepts to monitor quality and efficiency.
