Job summary

BAM is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the on-site maintenance team at properties in Waukee, IA. You’ll oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and grounds, ensuring safety, reliability and curb appeal across communities.

You’ll train staff, schedule preventive maintenance, manage budgets, and drive cost-effective operations while upholding BAM’s standards and resident experience. Excellent leadership and hands-on skills required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in property maintenance (supervisory experience a plus).
• EPA Type 2 or Universal Certification is required.
• Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance team to perform high-quality work in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general upkeep.

What You'll Do:

As aMaintenance Supervisor, you’ll lead our maintenance team to ensure our properties stay in tip-top shape. Your mechanical expertise will be key in keeping systems like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical running smoothly while also ensuring that the grounds, common areas, and curb appeal are top-notch.

• Lead the Team: Oversee and train maintenance staff to perform high-quality work in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general property upkeep.
• Maintain Standards: Ensure all systems and facilities meet BAM’s brand standards and deliver a great living experience for residents.
• Preventative Maintenance: Schedule and oversee regular inspections and repairs to prevent issues before they arise.
• Team Development: Guide, coach, and help your team grow with training, feedback, and ongoing support.
• Cost-Effective Operations: Manage budgets, purchase supplies, and keep maintenance operations efficient.
