Job summary

Investment Property Group is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor for Antelope Valley Apartments, a 120-unit affordable community in Lancaster, CA. You will oversee daily maintenance operations, supervise staff, coordinate repairs, and ensure safety and quality across units, common areas, and amenities.

The role requires reacting to resident requests promptly, managing preventative maintenance, and collaborating with the Community Manager to maintain high standards and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience as a Maintenance Supervisor at a multifamily community of 100+ units.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Able to respond to after-hour emergencies and participate in on-call rotation.
• Experience with plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repairs (stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers).
• Employees must supply their own hand tools and operate them safely.

Responsibilities

• Represent IPG professionally at all times.
• Complete work orders and preventative maintenance following policies and safety standards.
• Perform make-ready tasks to prepare vacant units and coordinate vendors as needed.
• Manage inventory, assets, and re-ordering with the maintenance department.
• Schedule maintenance staff and coordinate with the Community Manager.
• Train staff on safe work practices and coordinate scheduling of training.
• Inspect property daily to identify maintenance needs and follow a preventative schedule.
• Perform repairs on vacant and occupied apartments.
• Maintain professionalism and handle resident interactions respectfully.
• Complete required reporting using property management software.
