Job summary

American Regent is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the processing equipment maintenance program in its pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Shirley, NY. You will plan changeovers, oversee PM tasks, and coordinate maintenance mechanics to keep lines running, ensuring cGMP compliance and safe operations.

Reporting to engineering, you will supervise staff, set priorities, manage downtime, and drive cost-effective improvements.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of relevant mechanical experience with prior supervisory roles in pharma.
• Strong leadership and ability to plan and prioritize maintenance work.
• Knowledge of cGMP, safety programs, and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and manage preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
• Coordinate projects and direct maintenance mechanics.
• Ensure equipment readiness for daily/weekly start up.
• Supervise mechanics and enforce safety and housekeeping.
• Develop training plans and evaluate team performance.
• Hire and develop process mechanics.
• Track KPIs like asset utilization and maintenance costs.
• Liaise with Engineering and manage external contractors.
