Job summary

Greystar is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor in Los Angeles to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work ensuring the community meets Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

You will lead make-ready processes, schedule vendors, and supervise staff while maintaining inventory and budget controls. Strong customer service, safety, and communications skills are essential for daily operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, including Lease Ups, New Construction, Renovation.
• Must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law and be proficient with hand/power tools.
• EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal if working on sealed HVAC systems.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively for internal and external contacts.
• Experience with property management systems and core software (Word, Excel, databases) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and complete work orders from residents and diagnose defects.
• Oversee and complete the make-ready process for vacant units and schedule vendors.
• Maintain grounds, buildings, amenities and common areas to Greystar standards.
• Inspect work by staff and contractors to ensure quality and code compliance.
• Manage inventory and coordinate purchases within budget.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance per policy; assist budgeting for repairs/capital projects.
• Lead safety meetings, ensure OSHA compliance, and keep MSDS sheets up to date.
• Deliver high level customer service, address questions, and resolve issues for residents and staff.
