Job summary

HELP USA is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for one of our facilities at Audubon Ave, Manhattan, to oversee the maintenance staff, assign work, and track progress to keep living spaces clean and well-maintained.

You will train porters, inspect systems, and perform repairs, while remaining on call for emergencies and ensuring OSHA compliance. A strong focus on organization and administration is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or equivalent experience and skills.
• Minimum three years as a Maintenance Mechanic or two years as Assistant Supervisor for Maintenance.
• Understanding of electrical wiring, boiler mechanics, and plumbing.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Train porters to meet high-quality standards.
• Visually inspect plant systems and report abnormalities.
• Perform repairs and be on 24-hour call for emergencies.
• Adhere to OSHA compliance.
• Inventory and dispense materials and supplies.
