Job summary

VanTran Industries, Inc. in Minnesota seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance Technicians and manage daily maintenance, preventive maintenance scheduling, and safety/compliance.

You will bridge hands-on work with management strategy, drive reliability, and support continuous improvement across maintenance activities. Responsibilities include prioritizing work orders, evaluating maintenance logs, and coordinating with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate/technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of manufacturing maintenance experience with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems knowledge.
• Experience with CMMS software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate Maintenance Technicians to execute tasks.
• Plan, assign, and prioritize maintenance work orders and preventive tasks.
• Ensure work complies with OSHA safety procedures and quality standards.
• Regularly inspect equipment and plan corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Review and approve maintenance logs, records, and reports.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting for complex issues.
• Assist in developing schedules, tracking KPIs, and process improvements.
• Train, coach, and evaluate technicians; manage inventory and parts.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors for specialized work.
• Participate in DBR and Safety meetings; support capital projects.
