Job summary

VanTran Industries, Inc. is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to lead sanitation staff across break rooms, offices, and restrooms in our Minnesota facility.

You will schedule tasks, conduct inspections, train new hires, and coordinate with maintenance to resolve facility issues, while enforcing sanitation standards and OSHA safety rules.

This on-site role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or safety/ facilities cert preferred.
• 2–5 years custodial/sanitation experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• 1+ year of supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and OSHA safety standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and assign daily sanitation tasks.
• Ensure break rooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas meet standards.
• Conduct routine inspections and audits for quality and compliance.
• Train new hires and coach staff on procedures, safety, and chemical handling.
• Monitor cleaning supplies inventory and coordinate reordering.
• Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning equipment and chemicals (SDS).
• Address employee concerns, performance, and attendance per policy.
• Collaborate with maintenance to resolve facility issues.
• Support deep cleaning, special projects, audits, and leadership visits.
• Maintain cleaning schedules, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Promote and enforce safety policies, including PPE.
