Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the internal and external areas of our communities meet high standards of cleanliness, safety, and usability. You will respond to resident service requests, diagnose issues, and perform repairs following policy and safety guidelines.

You will also oversee the make-ready process for vacant units, coordinate vendors, schedule inspections, and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks to support leasing goals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the source or cause of defects and perform repairs following established policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Oversee and complete the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, and common areas to reflect Greystar high quality.
• Periodically inspect work by team members and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and coordinate procurement with the Community Manager.
• Complete monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in policy and procedure manual.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using tools properly.
