Job summary

UniFirst’s New Kensington, PA location is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to oversee facility equipment, drive maintenance improvements, and supervise staff. The role requires strong blueprint literacy, budgeting and scheduling experience, and a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years repairing industrial processing equipment in a production setting.
• Minimum 2 years of experience supervising maintenance personnel.
• Maintenance administration experience including budgeting, scheduling, parts management.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Must pass UniFirst’s maintenance knowledge assessment.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action using blueprints and manuals.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding; troubleshoot PLCs and control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and manage department budget with Production Manager.
• Follow specifications and schedules; supervise maintenance staff as assigned.
• Ensure safety, regulatory and environmental compliance across the plant.
• Oversee shifts and coordinate training and development for maintenance staff.
