Zing Recruiting is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Richmond, VA to lead the daily maintenance operations for a manufacturing facility. The role focuses on supervising technicians, planning preventive and corrective work, and driving equipment reliability and uptime.

The position requires 5+ years in maintenance within a manufacturing/industrial setting, strong safety focus, and proficiency with ERP/MMS software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally with other departments
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Knowledge of Manufacturing software/ERP and MS Office (Excel/Word)
• Valid driver’s license; basic to intermediate math, measurements, tolerances, conversions (metric/standard)
• OSHA 10/30 and related certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and lead maintenance technicians and staff
• Plan, prioritize, and assign daily maintenance work (preventive, predictive, corrective)
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime
• Monitor equipment reliability and plant performance
• Enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders and inventory
• Coordinate with production to align maintenance schedules
• Manage spare parts inventory and control costs
• Assist in capital projects, installations, and upgrades
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Support lean manufacturing and TPM initiatives
• Be able to react with urgency to meet objectives and deadlines
