Job summary

BAM Companies is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Waukee, IA to lead on-site maintenance across a multi-property portfolio. You will oversee HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, manage preventive maintenance, and ensure high standards for units and common areas.

You will train technicians, assign work orders, and monitor quality while maintaining a balanced budget. Compensation ranges from $27 to $32 per hour with comprehensive benefits and housing discounts at BAM properties.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years hands-on property maintenance experience.
• EPA Type 2 or Universal Certification required.
• Practical working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems; able to diagnose.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with residents, vendors and management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure turns and make-readies meet standards and curb appeal.
• Lead and train technicians, assign work orders and uphold on-site quality standards.
• Manage a property maintenance budget and purchase supplies cost-effectively.
