Job summary

Arkema Inc. seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily activities overseeing Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation maintenance personnel at our Alabama facility.

You will coordinate planned and unplanned work, supervise contractors, and drive safety and reliability initiatives to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient plant operations. The role requires 5+ years in chemical maintenance, a high school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred), and prior supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of maintenance experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent or Associate Degree preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision of Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation maintenance personnel.
• Assist Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and Engineering in troubleshooting and maintenance of all fixed equipment, rotating equipment, electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, rail systems, utilities, and associated assets.
• Execute maintenance work using internal and external resources.
• Receive planned work from Maintenance Planner and manage weekly schedules.
• Coordinate unplanned work and emergent repairs.
• Supervise contractors and maintenance personnel.
• Promote safety, teamwork, and workforce development.

The Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager. The Maintenance Supervisor provides direct supervision of Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation Technicians and supplemental contractors as needed.

Job Dimensions (Position Summary and Scope of Role)

Be a leader in implementing step changes in safety culture across all maintenance activities. Provide daily supervision of Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation maintenance personnel. Assist Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and Engineering in troubleshooting and maintenance of all fixed equipment, rotating equipment, electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, rail systems, utilities, and associated assets within the plant. Responsible for execution of all maintenance work utilizing both internal and external resources.
