Job Details

Collegiate Hotel Group is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join Graduate by Hilton East Lansing and its team of hospitality enthusiasts.

Responsibilities

• Assume administrative, financial, and operational responsibilities in the absence of the Director of Engineering.
• Maintain high morale, teach staff maintenance skills, solicit input, and coach team members.
• Champion ALICE Metrics, track defect reports, and create processes to resolve issues proactively.
• Ensure compliance with preventative maintenance programs for equipment and facilities.
• Perform repairs and inspections in guest units, buildings, pools, and common areas.
• Utilize hand and power tools for carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
• Manage inventory and work order programs, prioritize tasks, and monitor deficiencies.
• Maintain pool and spa standards according to brand and health regulations.
• Maintain hotel grounds and assist departments with guest requests and concerns.
• Train and supervise maintenance staff, participate in property walk-throughs, and ensure safety procedures.
• Support record-keeping for budgets, safety systems, and inspections.
• Act as Manager on Duty when assigned and perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; college or trade school in a mechanical or electrical discipline preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in a maintenance role, preferably in hotels.
• Knowledge of math, effective communication, leadership skills, and time management.
• Proficiency with software like ALICE and other technological tools.
