Job summary

NCSL International in Arlington, VA area is seeking a maintenance supervisor to support equipment safety, uptime and performance. You will supervise repairs, develop calibration schedules, and lead 5S and Lean activities while coordinating with operations to ensure quality and safety.

The role requires hands-on leadership, react to issues with a focus on reliability, and collaboration with the site team to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Five or more years of maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong preventive maintenance development experience.
• Familiarity with lockout/tagout, job hazard analysis, hot work permits, confined space, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise safety policies and procedures per OSHA, NEC, NFPA, USDA, FDA, etc.
• Develop and maintain ongoing preventive maintenance programs to maximize uptime.
• Provide day-to-day supervision, training and coaching to maintenance staff.
• Identify training needs and implement hands-on programs including RCA and FMA.
• Plan and oversee equipment rebuilds, line moves, and calibrations with OEMs as needed.
• Maintain shift communication and report issues affecting plant goals.
• Gather and communicate maintenance metrics like uptime and PM compliance.
• Maintain records and spare parts inventories for repairs and upgrades.
