Job summary

Southwire Company in Denton, TX, seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to manage preventive maintenance and guide repairs of electrical and mechanical systems on industrial equipment. You will analyze equipment performance, propose improvements, and document maintenance procedures to maximize uptime and yield.

The role requires supervising a team, coordinating with engineers and operations, and leading lean manufacturing initiatives in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience preferred.
• Previous technical supervisory experience managing people and processes.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems with electronic controls in an industrial environment.
• 5 years of electrical experience with manufacturing equipment.
• 5 years of mechanical experience with manufacturing equipment.
• Must read specifications and prints; strong written/verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Direct employees in installation and repair of electrical and mechanical systems, following codes and blueprints.
• Schedule and assign daily maintenance tasks via work orders and ensure completion.
• Maintain calibration database for equipment such as spark tester and line counter.
• Direct outside contractors in installation, following electrical codes and blueprints.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of malfunctions with test equipment.
