Qualifications

  • Two or more years of maintenance experience in multi-family property management strongly preferred.
  • EPA, OSHA, Fair Housing, and pool certification required.
  • Ability to lift equipment and appliances up to 50 lbs.

Job description

This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure living environment for residents, visitors and staff. It is the Maintenance Supervisor’s duty to anticipate, identify and correct any and all problems involving the property and to implement procedures that will prevent such problems. An effective program of maintenance is essential in order to maintain a safe environment, cultivate resident satisfaction, and protect the investment of the apartment property owner.

What you will do:
  • Performs all maintenance tasks for units and equipment
  • Manages work orders to ensure they are completed in a timely manner
  • Confirms apartments are updated and move-in ready
  • Performs all mechanical walks for construction
  • Monitors inventory and orders supplies as needed
  • Schedules vendors and contractors and works side-by-side with construction to address any issues
  • Uses expert knowledge to abide by pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations governing proper storage and management of hazardous materials
  • Inspects the condition of physical properties throughout the community and corrects unsafe conditions
What you will bring:
  • Two or more years of m aintenance experience in multi-family property management strongly preferred
  • EPA, OSHA, Fair Housing, and pool certification required
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills via all communication channels
  • Ability to lift equipment and appliances up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to take calls for emergency requests
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and daily transportation for getting supplies and other duties
  • Will drive a golf cart
  • Work over 40 hours per week as business needs deem appropriate
