Maintenance Supervisor - Beaver Pond at Bowery Residents' Committee
Responsibilities
- Supervise assigned maintenance staff.
- Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of the facility.
- Make repairs requiring skills such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical.
- Perform preventative maintenance of cooling/heating and domestic hot water systems.
- Ensure periodic maintenance and inspection of elevators, sprinkler systems, fire alarm system and fire extinguishers is performed and documented.
- Arrange for and oversee outside contractors as directed.
- Receive and store deliveries of maintenance/office supplies.
- Move furniture as needed.
- Be a member of the fire safety team and participate in fire drills.
- On call for emergencies (may require early and/or late hours).
- Related duties as assigned.
Hours
Full time, 37.5 hours per week
- Tues-Thurs 1pm-9:30pm
- Fri-Sat 8am-4:30pm
Qualifications
- Five years of experience in building maintenance; experience in trades is helpful.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to use independent discretion and judgment.
- Certificate of fitness for Fire Safety Director preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to communicate in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Vaccination preferred but not required.
